In 1968 Linn Photo started it's Black and White photo processing in the heart of Czech Village in Cedar Rapids, IA. We grew into a larger lab and moved up the street to C Ave SW. This lab had 4 additions put on over the years and finally out grew it all in 1990. We moved the wholesale division of Linn Photo to Boyson Rd. in Hiawatha. Our retail location split from the main processing center and landed on 3rd Ave in Downtown Cedar Rapids. This small retail location was a cornerstone of the photo industry in Cedar Rapids.

With a huge increase in business in the late '70s and '80s Linn Photo expanded again (partially because our old building was turned into a parking lot) and split the 3rd Avenue location between a 1st Avenue location, still in Downtown Cedar Rapids and a Westdale Dr. location on the outskirts of the southwest side of town. The west side location became our retail hub, opening not only a camera retail shop, but the first mini-lab in Cedar Rapids.

In the late '80s we expanded in to the East side of town opening a location on Collins Road, also having a mini lab which later became the new processing center on Blairs Ferry Road in Marion. The Westdale location has been our primary retail store serving thousands of people every month.
